“Online Initiative.”
What originally started as a way to make college textbooks cheaper by converting them to digital textbooks has developed into so much more. I-pads and other electronics can be found nearly everywhere and are almost synonymous with the current form of education among middle and high schools. By cutting the costs of text books and having them digitally formatted to “e-books”, the school system has developed a plan to fund all students with either laptops or i-pads. This of course expands the learning environment drastically and teachers have had to adjust their teaching styles to match this online environment. Although it is already practically a set in stone thing, many people feel that an online initiative in the learning environment may not be the best approach.
