How To Combat Common Technological Classroom Problems
Many distractions come to mind when we talk about access to tablets, mobile phones, and computers in the classroom. The biggest would be students utilizing social media sites and off topic apps such as games during the classroom lesson. A way to combat that is that school systems have blockers that block this type of online interaction and only allows certain applications to be viewed. It also blocks internet articles that are not deemed either educational, or safe to be viewed. Also rules need to be in effect for students not following guidelines and staying on task when using electronic devices. There is no true way to monitor cell phone usage so teachers should not allow these to be used during class. The only electronic devices that should be allowed are those given to the students through the school system.
